CSU and Europe Joint POLAR Experiment of Gamma-ray Bursts in Space The POLAR experiment is devoted to the study of gamma-ray bursts in Space. It will be implemented by means of the POLAR Instrument to be flown on China Manned Space Program. The POLAR Instrument is composed of two main units, namely: (1) the Internal Unit (POLAR-IBOX) mounted inside the module, and (2) the Outer Unit (POLAR-OBOX), mounted outside the spacecraft and interfaced with the POLAR-IBOX. |
